New Sweden 2018 World Cup Home Jersey

The Swedish football team is the selection of Swedish players representing the country at international men’s football competitions, under the auspices of the Swedish Football Federation.

The team made its debut in 1908, on the occasion of the Olympic Games. In 1924, she won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, where the first world football tournament was held. The 2018 swimsuit is yellow and blue with a jacquard pattern and a V-neck inspired by Adidas EQT jerseys, blue with a yellow border. The Adidas bands on the sides of Sweden’s new jersey are blue.

In the same vein as the other Adidas jerseys, the 2018 Sweden home football jersey is clearly retro-inspired. The front motif, identical to that used on the current home shirt of Real Madrid, is taken from the jersey of 1988, while the shape of the collar comes from the jersey of 1992.

While Sweden qualified again for the 1990 World Cup after a long absence with the first jersey in 1988, Sweden wore the 1992 jersey in their Euro at home, having reached the semi-finals of the competition, beaten by Germany.

Regarding the technical suppliers of the Swedish team, the jersey at the 1970 World Cup is provided by the British equipment manufacturer Umbro, from 1974 to 2003 the Swedish team is equipped by the German Adidas, from 2003 to 2013 Sweden is again supplied by English Umbro, the first contract starts in 2003 for a period of six years, the contract with Umbro is slowly extended in 2007, in January 2013 the Swedish federation announces a six-year partnership with German Adidas who becomes the technical supplier of Sweden.
